Phase 1.5 Neck in Minneapolis

Side to Side Neck Stretch

  • Sit in strong, tall posture
  • Sit on your right hand
  • Left hand on top of head gently stretching to the left side (do not turn your nose)
  • Hold for 10 seconds and relax. Repeat on opposite side

Levator Scapula Stretch

  • Place right hand behind your back
  • Turn head to the left and tuck the chin, while gently stretching with left hand
  • You should feel the stretch on the right side
  • Hold for 10 seconds. Repeat on the opposite side

SCM Stretch

  • Using your right hand. Gently contact the left SCM muscle with your fingertips (where the medical neck and collar bone meet)
  • Turn head to the right and extend head back while holding the SCM muscle wth your fingertips
  • Hold for 10 seconds. Repeat on the opposite side
