Phase 1.5 Neck in Minneapolis
Side to Side Neck Stretch
- Sit in strong, tall posture
- Sit on your right hand
- Left hand on top of head gently stretching to the left side (do not turn your nose)
- Hold for 10 seconds and relax. Repeat on opposite side
Levator Scapula Stretch
- Place right hand behind your back
- Turn head to the left and tuck the chin, while gently stretching with left hand
- You should feel the stretch on the right side
- Hold for 10 seconds. Repeat on the opposite side
SCM Stretch
- Using your right hand. Gently contact the left SCM muscle with your fingertips (where the medical neck and collar bone meet)
- Turn head to the right and extend head back while holding the SCM muscle wth your fingertips
- Hold for 10 seconds. Repeat on the opposite side
